Is it bad that I really like the HRV's interior?

It looks so minimalistic and nice to use! They did a great job with the interior on this one!

I lovelovelovelove the passenger side vents.

I like the HR-V, honestly.

It does look good in EX-L trim but apparently the capacitive buttons for the HVAC and other controls are a nightmare. At least according to crotchety auto journalists.

The vents are super cool. And they sometimes are warm.

I think they did an overall good job with the HR-V, it seems like the true successsor to the 1st gen CR-V.

It’s okay to like a mainstream car...for some reason a lot of oppo can’t acknowledge anything that’s not some obscure European classic

9/10 auto journalists bitch about something just for the sake of complaining. There’s only a select few journalists that I actually rely on making accurate reviews.

Not bad at all, it really is a nice interior. I like a more minimalist approach hence why I love my Yukon and Jetta interiors so much. Also why I hate the Focus interior so much.

Looks good. I find the civic interior overwhelming with screens,

I like the CX-3’s more. But it is really nice, esp. compared to what Honda normally puts out.

After sitting in my sisters I agree. It really is a nice place to be in. She says it’s actually quite comfortable for the 5 hour trip between cincinatti and chicago

After playing with them I can see why they’d complain but you’d get used it it

It’s a shame their infotainment just looks like a tacked on garmin

Ehh. Its not like the off-center square not-matching-any-lines HRV nav is much better.

HondaLink is horrible. Everything else is quite nice but this sucks hard.

It is a really nice interior I love the steering wheel. It’s crazy how we can’t like anything honda here and have to defend it with “flame suit “

I really like the interior of my 2008 gmc sierra. (I have the grey interior) It’s not the highest quality plastics but nothing rattles (unlike the mini cooper) and everything is screwed together well.

My only problem with mazdas is their rusting. The new mazdas haven’t been around long enough to see but the last gen ones had a terrible habit of rusting and thus obliterating resale value!

Mine are nothing to brag about either and the dash in the truck sometimes rattles in one spot but that may just be a loose screw/bolt. Everything else is solid.

I will say, as a resident of Wisconsin, I spend multiple months driving with gloves on. Capacitive buttons require capacitive gloves, which I actually own. But at least on my phone, the capacitive gloves are not the same as a bare finger.

My knock on capacitive buttons is they don’t do anything differently or better than normal buttons, but they do work worse in glove season. Normal buttons have no such issue.

I will say that regular buttons are far more accurate than capacitive buttons. However, I don’t find they’re too bad these days. CUE seems to get a little less crap for them now.
